Brief Instruction
An oil fence boom combines the rapid response characteristics of a fence boom for emergency response with the high buoyancy capabilities of a floating oil containment booms - use where the water conditions are rough and changeable.?
A fence boom is a floating fence-like structure with foam buoyancy and a base weight to hold a part of the fence under water.
Floating fence boom sections are usually 15?meters long and 300mm, 600mm or 800mm in height. Approximately 40% of the Inshore fence boom is above the water and 60% below.
Special connectors on the ends of all containment boom allows multiple boom sections to?be easily joined together.
oil spill containment are stored and deployed from either storage?bags, cages or reels.
Oil fence booms are lightweight, take up minimal storage space and are easy to?handle. As a consequence of minimal buoyancy, rapid deployment fence boom are affected by?winds over 20 knots and strong currents.
Inshore Oil spill fence boom are used in sheltered?waters such as harbours.
